The Washtenaw County CASA Program has been in existence for over 10 years. Recently, a Friends of CASA, was formed in order to promote growth of the program. While the CASA program itself is part of the court system, the Friends group is an incorporated nonprofit. With over 500 children in care in this county, the current CASA program is in need of future expansion to meet the growing needs of the children in Washtenaw County.
