We will post Children’s Charter news and events on this page, along with other important news that we learn of. Recent Statistics

A survey by National CASA Board Member Marti Braniff found that:
  • The average foster care stay is 2.5 years.
  • The average foster child is moved to a new home four times every year.
  • The average foster child has ten different case workers during his or her stay in care.

In 1995, some 20.8% of all US children (over 14 million, including more than 5 million under the age of 6) were classified as poor.
